(12 mins read) Ladies, please take care of yourselves! Try to use public transportation, as much as possible. Or a bike. Or walk. Or drive, if you will. Try to walk in groups, especially at night. Be kind, but don’t trust people you don’t know. End even when you know them, base your trust on actions delivered with consistency, not words. Go to the gym, learn to run fast and self-defense, if interested. Don’t be afraid to be strong, you must fend for yourself. I wish girls would feel more safe, but we are no, so why behaving as if we were?
(15 mins read) This post is about 5 things I like to do but I find hard. Because of this reason, forming these habits is almost impossible for me. The most important lesson of this post is that one can do what one finds to be hard, especially when the respective action is meaningful to one’s life. Make the day count!
p.s. This post may contain contradictory information, complaining and gratefulness all in one. I am a complex being, what can I say?
(10 mins read) Don’t get any fancy ideas, I am not yet sure how to change the world. I keep thinking about it and follow different approaches and read on the topic, but I have no solutions until now. However, there are moments when I feel part of history being made. After the concert, I was following it online and and thought: “Oh, these guys have the power to change the world”. Read more about what lead to the conclusion in this post.
(10 mins read) In the last couple of days, as a result of what I was reading in The Daily Stoic book, I kept thinking about the difference between “have to do” and “get to do”. An implementation first step would be for me to rename my current “To do list” excel file “Get to do list”. Really, I listed mostly items I feel grateful to have the opportunity to do, but for a reason or another, I keep on procrastinating with getting them done. A switch in approach does not sound like a bad idea. But is it really all it takes to procrastinate less? I got the opportunity to actually practice it with one of the most dreaded items of my list.
