(2 mins read) Gone from my computer, I use my time to enjoy this autumn. Longer posts foreseen for the upcoming weeks. Autumn pictures presented. I’m all about autumn these days!
(5 mins read) I went alone for lunch and this is what happened: I survived it free of devices and other tools of distraction. I actually enjoyed it enough to think that I will do it again.
(5 mins read) Do you work weekends? What do you do to make work more enjoyable? In this post I write about my solution.
I am working on side projects so I have to work outside regular working hours. I say “Yes” to many professional opportunities, mostly because I am interested in doing the work. I believe in relaxation and recovering after a busy week, but, yes, I’d admit it: I am not one to lay around doing nothing for too long. Although I crave it so much when I know I need to spend time during the weekends in focused work.
(8 mins read) Today (05.10) is Teacher’s Day. I am writing about the first day of the academic year, as something our Dean said at the opening festivity offered me the opportunity for reflection. And I barely ever miss a chance [modesty talking]! Wishing all those teaching out there a focused academic year and, from the famous hit, Gaudeamus Igitur: `Vivat academia! Vivant professores!`
Make the day count!
