What is December all about?

This post is about what I have planned for December 2018.

This last two months I have tried to decide which is my favorite season of the year and I kept thinking while I found things I loved in each of the four. For instance, I love winter because of the fact that I get to wear hats, I enjoy snow beyond belief (as it reminds me of home) and the coffee-based drinks can be numerous because I am no longer feeling too hot.

December is a special time, because the house smells like oranges and cinnamon, there is warmth and hope, and, as New Years approaches the possibilities of the New Year seem endless. For me it’s the perfect time to reassess my previous year and to adjust and update plans for the next.

It’s so inspiring to evaluate what happened compared to what I wanted to happen, to check what worked in my system and what needs immediate attention, but also to assess what is to continue, what is to be discarded and what is to be started.

Therefore, I have four weeks for this endeavor and they are planned like this:

  • week 1: make inventory of what has been done based on what has been planned;
  • week 2: evaluate the items achieved against the items planned;
  • week 3: decide which activities are to be continued, which are to be discarded;
  • week 4: draft the objectives for next year.

In this way, by the end of the week 1st of January 2019 I have my planned achievements planned. Let’s see how this goes!
